About

Welcome to Coulter Hollow Farm

Here, we’re all about rolling up our sleeves, getting our hands dirty, and making things work the way our grandparents did. Our farm is a place where we grow our own food, raise animals, and focus on being as self-sufficient as possible. It’s not always easy, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Whether we’re planting seeds, fixing fences, or preserving the harvest, we’re doing it together, one step at a time. We hope you’ll join us on this journey as we share the practical, everyday skills that help us live a simple, but fulfilling life.

Our Story

It all began with 5 acres and a homestead.

In 2015, we bought our first piece of land and named it Coulter Hollow Farm. We started with three horses and a dog, but soon added a flock of guinea hens, chickens, ducks, and a crew of pigs.

Over the years, we’ve shifted to a pasture-based system for raising our livestock and poultry. Our animals are healthier and happier, and it’s made life easier for us, too. We rarely need to use medications or wormers. In spring, summer, and fall, we rotate the animals through different pastures, giving them access to clean grass, dry ground, and plenty of sunshine while reducing disease.

We’ve also dabbled in gardening because we believe every household should have access to fresh fruits and veggies. It’s been a journey of trial and error, and we’re always tweaking our systems to better suit our land. Every year, things improve, and we’re excited to keep growing.

Be sure to check back often—we’re always adding new content and updates about upcoming livestock, meat, plants, and vegetable sales.
